Some months prior, I posted a note about the amount of bandwidth this website took. The readership has expanded, naturally, and the hosted content is growing. As we can, we'll continue to broaden everything, too. So what has that done to our site profile?
For a seven-day window, we're currently averaging around 1,000 distinct machines accessing the web site, serving up about 11,000 pages -- or around 11 pages per machine per week. That's sucking up 408.61 MB per week in bandwidth. If you look at the more recent data, instead of historical from January 2009 to present, then the bandwidth is creeping up, showing that continuing growth pattern. During April, we served about 20% more content than March.
We also have over 1M log notes for site attacks. That's kind of annoying.
Just some trivia for those that are curious. Oh, and yes, Echoes is (still) in beta. Most of the beta stages this go round have all had real life complexity, such that turnaround on my side is very fast, but it's quite the opposite on the others. That's the way it goes sometimes. Thanks for being patient along with me.
