AU GoF

    I've come across a new Au Gof fic on Fanfic.net.

    Extended Summary: AU. When Ron and Hermione wrongly believe that Harry placed his name in the Goblet of Fire to enter the Triwizard Tournament, Harry appears to be truly isolated. Much to his relief, one person truly believes in him. She will be his inspiration to aspire to greatness, no matter what cost and far beyond what Dumbledore’s plans for his destiny would be. Eventual Dark!Harry/Dark!Ginny pairing, with Ron, Hermione, and Dumbledore bashing.

    The fic isn't that good but it is one of the few that use this senario where Harry doesn't move over to the sankes and drop his kegs for Malfoy. Anyone come across any others in this category that might be fit to read?

    Thanks for the heads up. It looks like a good start to a very interesting story.

    I've often wondered during one of my rereads of Sovran's MoO awesomeness what would have happened had they not caught Dobby, gone to Hogwarts still very angry at many people, and got influenced by the diary (not taken over by it like Ginny did in canon) on top of it. Can you imagine a dark Harry/Ginny with their bond?

    Actually, Sovran already gave us a peek with MoOi. When I am in a contrary mood nothing is more satisfying than a logically written Dark!Harry story. A well written and truly Dark!Ginny could make Bellatrix seem like a Sunday School Teacher. I'm not sure I could write that though. Writing The Lost Tower's Tom Riddle has made me feel sullied enough, thank you.

    I have conceived a 'dark' version of MoO, so to speak. It isn't pretty. Without knowing what I know, I don't think anyone else can really imagine just how not-pretty it could be. It's so bad that I accepted a rather bizarre mechanism in the core concept just so I could avoid taking that dark route. From there, I've had to make several conscious planning choices to avoid other spots where the story could spin off into real nastiness. I'm not sure I could write that, at least not well, and I'm not sure anyone I like would want to read it.

    Given the setup for the

    Given the setup for the MoOverse it is probably for the best. However other bond-fics, for example JadeSeraph's 'Soul Nexus', which has a much lower powered bond (at least at the moment) could pull it off I would think.
