MetaFic platform?

MetaFic platform?

First off, congrats on going live with MetaFic. I know Melkior takes care of the technical stuff, so I guess my question is directed at him. Is MetaFic based on one of the existing, free CMS platforms out there or is it all custom code? I truly like the general style of the site itself, and if that style comes from a freely-available CMS system, I'd be interested in tinkering with it :)

Well, then you might be happy to know that MetaFic is running on Drupal (drupal.org). It uses many additional modules (over 20 of them) to extend the basic functionality, and many parts of the site have been custom coded (or re-coded) to add the parts you would expect from a 'normal' fiction archive.

Drupal is completely free and probably the only CMS that can be stretched so far.

So, now that you know what it is, go ahead and tinker with it all you want. It's a great piece of software.
