A reviewer at SIYE asked if there was a place where thoughts about The Lost Tower stories could be discussed. This is the best place for me because I am too lazy to keep my own site. So, any questions about "The Sorcerer's Apprentice" I'll answer here.

If you release a version over here will it be called the Philosopher's Apprentice?

How far are you planning to take the story? I ask this in the hope that you intend to show us the defeat of Voldemort and the happy ending so richly deserved by all.

You know, that whole thing ticks me off. Most American's didn't know what the hell a Sorcerer's Stone was either. It wouldn't have confused anyone on this side of the pond to have titled the first Scholatic edition "HP and the Philosopher's Stone"!
So, uh... no. The title will remain "Sorcerer's Apprentice." Thanks to Disney's "Fantasia" sequence with Dukas's piece, even us dumb 'ol colonials know what a sorcerer's apprentice is. ;-)

They (almost) all had the happy ending they deserved in canon. Why do I need to repeat that? (ducks to avoid projectiles)
Josh had a plan for the story's characters, their development and, to some extent, their fates. There is a backstory I had developed, but didn't have a story to go with it. The Lost Tower series worked well, so I have incorporated that backstory into this. That does change things some from Josh's original idea. Not a whole lot at first, but more and more as the stories get written. A hint: There are bits of that back story that peek out in the narrative of chapter's one and three. I am a slow writer and this is my first multi-chapter story. "The Fidelius Gambit" began as a looong single chapter that I split, so it doesn't count. At least for me it doesn't.
So, after this diarrhea of the keyboard, the answer is yes, I have plans to take this story to Voldemort's defeat and beyond. How quickly I get there is a whole 'nuther matter.

So, any questions ...
The other really obvious question would be: what's your intended publication schedule? I'm dying of thirst here, between you and rbackwards who is being slow updating "Phantom Limb".
Well... I am a slow writer on my best days and RL doesn't give me many "best days." Despite my wife's complaints, I just don't get much time to spend on the story. However, since I pulled a Hermione with her and wrote a 10 page paper on a topic I knew little about, for a class she fell behind in, maybe I can wheedle more TLT SA writing time. Unlike the better and more prolific authors here I don't have a set update schedule. I hope to update every month to month and a half.
Just to take the edge off your thirst, right now the chapter 7 draft is titled "Tom Marvolo Riddle."
Love the story, any chance of an update?
