Update for Chapter 8 to Sorcerer's Apprentice (no, the rhyme was not planned)

    The good news... Tonight I should have the chapter to the point I'm not too embarassed to let my pre-beta see it. (Ahem. Heads up for incoming, Phil).
    The bad news... I've blown my self-imposed deadline of having the next chapter up in a month's time.
    More good news... I tried to keep this chapter shorter (is 10-11k short?) so the excess stuff went to chapter 9 which is now about 40% written. :-)

    An embarassment of riches

    I seem to be a bit snowed under right now, somewhat to my surprise. Still it gives me something to do while my personal cast argues out what they're going to do next in the back of my head. I'm thinking of installing a coffee machine for them, the caffeine might do them as much good as it does me.

    The problem with volunteering . . .

    . . . is that people will take you up on it.

    Now the question becomes much more interesting. Was the volunteering worth the reward?

    Time is not a problem

    I'm hardly running through an update every few days. I honestly don't know how people do it. Well... some I can. However, when St. Margarets and Melindaleo do rapid updates I am in awe.

    Don't forget lots and lots of fresh glazed donuts by the coffee machine. You haven't lived until you spend weeks strung out on caffeine and sugar. Thank God I was dumb enough to survive that!
