I really, really enjoyed this take on the "unseen", at least in canon, events surrounding James/Lily's death and the "defeat" of Voldemort.
You've come up with a completely feasible set of events to not only fit canon but some of the things that canon missed. For instance--how would Voldemort have been able to eventually get his wand back? And, it's always been assumed that Lily had to be the one to cast the Fidelius Charm (if Dd had done it, he would have known that Peter was the Secret Keeper), but I love the idea of casting the charm being in the form of a song.
Your Peter also seems to have more reason for his traitorous turn than even canon Peter. Indeed, he's a more sinister character. The scene where he just steps over James dead body is chilling. And Sirius' realization of just how badly the friend he has come to help has betrayed all the rest of the Marauders is heartbreaking.
I hope you will fit this into your "Lost Tower" series, which I've been enjoying so much, even though I've not yet reviewed it (blush). I think it's a wonderful idea, especially as it means the Sirius of this story does not meet the same fate of canon Sirius.

Testing a comment theory
This is just a test of the system. This is only a test. Had this been a real comment, there would have been meaning. Or perhaps humour.

Or perhaps not. :-)
