Bio: I am 35 years old, married and have two kids, 4 and 2 years old. I discovered HP shortly after HBP came out. Prior to that I was very much into the LOTR movies and all that, and really have looked at HP with a somewhat superior look (I still believe HP hasn't gotten the dimmest chance to reach LOTR level, honestly, but this is neither here nor there). I bought all 6 books on a whim (let's see what the whole bang is about...) and I got hooked. Honestly, HP is probably the most annoying and aggravating book I've ever read. Can't live with it, can't live without it. So many ommisions and down right inconsistencies... It hurts, because is a wonderful world and has truly amazing characters. Characterization I think is Jo's strongest point. Obviously, Harry is the first on my list, followed by Ginny - yeah, I am a 100% HG shipper - and then Gred and Forge sharing the third spot. Anyway, some couple months after I first read the books, I discovered fanfiction, and, even more so after DH (quite a dissapointment in my personal view) I really hid myself into fanfiction (reading, you know, no writing pretenses here). Yeah, maybe ff really spoiled me, but I really found some pieces out there I like much better than canon. That's really quite dishonest and unfair, as every fanfic out there builds on top of canon, but there are plenty fics I go back to read again and again, while, honestly, I never went back to read DH a second time. Last time I touched the books was before DH came out (I read the whole thing to have it fresh in mind when DH came out). If you're looking for favs, see the link below (my C2 on ffnet).
